The Perfect Golf Vacation
If you are thinking of planning a golf vacation, you are most likely rather stressed about getting the whole thing planned. It can be very hard to get it all lined up and scheduled perfectly, but it is definitely possible. Not to say that it is possible to plan a trip so that nothing will go wrong – this is never able to be accomplished. However, it is possible to plan a trip so that IF nothing goes wrong, it will be perfect. And if you get lucky, nothing will go wrong. If this occurs (unfortunately it is unlikely) then you will be glad you did all the planning beforehand.
Only once in my life have I had a golf vacation during which absolutely nothing went wrong. It was about five years ago, and me and 7 of my best golf buddies decided we needed a break from the stresses of daily work life. We decided to go to a world famous resort about a 5 hour drive away. Before hand, I made the reservations and found out everything I needed to know about the golf course schedules and opening times. I truly had every base covered when it came to planning.
The trip went off without a hitch, just as the planning had. The car ride was pleasant and everyone was in a good mood. It was just like being young again, and taking a road trip with my best friends. After we got to the hotel, things were just as good. The hotel was absolutely stunning, and the service was great. We all set our wake-up calls for the next morning at 6, and got up to have a great round of golf on the beautiful course. The rest of the week went just like that, with no unpleasant aspects. I think I remember playing a few really good rounds as well, which is truly a sign that the stars are in favor of my fate.
I don’t mean to be bragging about how great my experience was. After all, nobody wants to hear that. However, many people are hesitant to plan a golfing trip for the fear that it will simply be a plan that is riddled with errors and disasters. I hope that with my story, I have provided some inspiration and helped you to realize that the perfect golf vacation DOES exist. You just have to find it.
